I had a bad habit of skipping to the last pages of a book. I just wanted to see how it ended 36 I was still in the middle of it. This habit 37 first my mom, then my friends, and 38 even my own daughter. Often my 39 wouldn’t be limited just to the books I read but also to what others were 40 as well. Then one day my daughter told me in anger, “Dad, please just read a book one 41 at a time like everyone else!”

Reporting the news through photos is called photojournalism. At times photojournalists tell their stories 1 a single picture . At 2 times, they use a group of pictures to tell a story. Each picture is like a chapter in a book, which can do more than record the facts. It can also be a strong force for social change .

Jacob Riis was among the first photojournalists .He took pictures of parts of New York City 3 the poor lived. Riis believed that 　4 (poor)caused crime, and his point 5 (prove)by his photos.
