Two friends visited the zoo together. The zoo was very large and it was impossible to go 1 .They had to decide where and which animal to visit as their time was 2 .So both of them agreed not to repeat the journey after choosing a branch road at every fork.

A road sign at the first fork indicated one way to the 3 quarters and the other to the tiger hill. They decided on the former after a brief discussion because lions were “the king of the grassland”.The second showed a division going 4 to the panda and the peacock. They favored panda as it was the nation's treasure and went its way. Thus they made choices all along the way and each choice meant a rejection that they couldn't help 5 .But they had to make it, and immediately, for it brooked(容忍)no delay. If they 6 they would miss more.Only rapid decision could offer more chances for sightseeing and 7 possible regret.

Life is more or less like this-alternatives often occur that one has to choose, for example, between two 8 jobs, two fascinating wooers(追求者).To obtain one you have to 9 the other-you can only get 10 of it.If you spend time weighing the pros and cons and calculating gains and losses, you will most likely end up in empty-handedness.Don't be sad about it.At least you have got half of the desirable things in life-something that is hard to come by.
