题目列表(包括答案和解析)

Are you eager to go back to your school? Do you hope to do a lot of homework every evening? Are you interested in your classes? What subjects do you want to learn? Why do you like them? Maybe you have lots of questions in your mind before school starts.

Well, I want to give you some good advice on these problems.

First, keep calm. Don't worry about all the questions you have. Put your hearts into learning. You can find something you are interested in. Do it actively.

Second, try your best to finish your homework quickly. Don't spend a lot of time on it. Do more reading or writing in English. Think about the problems you have and solve them at once. Don't stay up late. You can't study well the next day.

Third, use some new ways of learning instead of copying or repeating. If you can remember the words in your way, you can tell your teachers you don't like the way of copying them again and again. Be sure, you must pass the test. I think your teachers will agree with you. And they can give you some interesting work to do.

School is really a good place for us to learn knowledge and make friends. Believe your teachers and yourself. You are the best one and you can do everything well

I would like to talk to you about space vegetables, and to show you that space vegetables are healthy and good for you.
Space vegetables are grown from seeds that have been taken to and brought back from outer space. The seeds are affected by the radiation(辐射) and low gravity in outer space. When they are brought back to Earth, these seeds produce vegetables that are bigger, healthier and more nutritious(有营养的) than normal vegetables. However, some people worry about eating space vegetables. They think that space vegetables might not be good for us and could give us cancer as a result of their exposure(暴露) to radiation in space. People should not be scared, as space vegetables are actually perfectly healthy.
Here are some facts that you should know about space vegetables:
Space vegetables are grown from seeds that are carefully selected. When seeds are brought back from space, they are tested to make sure that the vegetables they grow will be safe to eat. There are no traces(痕迹) of radiation after testing.
Space vegetables are better for you than normal vegetables. For example, space tomatoes stay fresh for twenty days, which is one week longer than normal tomatoes. Another popular space vegetable is the peppers. Space peppers contain 20 percent more vitamin C than normal peppers.
After modified(转基因) foods came onto the market, people worried that they were eating unknown things. For example, if nut genes are put inside potatoes, people allergic(过敏的) to nuts might get very sick from eating these potatoes because they do not know they are also eating nuts. Unlike genetically modified foods, space vegetables have not been genetically changed. This means that no new genes are put into the vegetables. Therefore, they won’t damage your health.

Hi Mary,

Thank you for writing to me and I will try to give you some ideas about improving(提高) your written English. The bad news, of course, is that there is no e   77    way to do this. It takes work.

Improving your English, like getting better at anything else, means lots of practice. I think you already know enough words and grammar in English to make sentences and to understand English, and the problem you have is as the problem all Chinese students have when they learn English. You go to English class a couple of times a week and the rest of the time you speak Chinese. If you come to Canada, your English would improve very         q  78    because you would use it all day, every day. It’s just practice.

To improve your writing in English, you should do the following t   79    things. First, you should try to read English as much as possible. It doesn’t matter what you read, so pick something that interests you. Reading English will show you how English words are used together, how English speakers express themselves and so on, so you can learn a lot from that. Then you should practice writing. Ask your teacher if you can get extra assignments and write things like short stories. Your teacher can s   80    you where you make mistakes and how to correct them. You can also write more letters to English speakers on the Internet (I will be happy to exchange letters with you if that will help). Don’t worry if you make mistakes     b  81    that is how you learn.

You say you can not obey your plans. In English we say, “Plan the work, work the plan.” You need a plan and then you need to follow your plan to improve.

I hope these ideas are u   82   . I wish you luck, and if you want to write to me I will be happy to try to help you. We can talk about China, about Canada or anything else you like.

Best wishes,

Brad Flankin
