    　　An old carpenter(木匠)was ready to retire(退休)．He told his boss that he was leaving to live an easy life with his family．

    　　The boss was sorry to see his best worker go and asked if he could build just one more house．The carpenter said yes, but it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work．He used bad wood and didn’t work as well as before．

    　　When the carpenter finished his work, his boss came to see the house．Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, “This is your house…my gift to you．”

    　　The carpenter was surprised!

    　　If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all differently．
