Sam and Computer Games

　　“Sam? Are you in bed yet?”called Mrs. Blake. There was no answer. Mrs. Blake put down her book and went to her 13-year-old son's room. Sam was sitting in front of a bright computer screen on which a colorful dragon (龙) jumped and shouted.

　　“Oh, Sam! You're still playing on that computer. You must stop now; it's half past 11. If you don't go to bed soon, you'll be very tired tomorrow,”said Mrs. Blake.

　　Sam was very excited.“I think this is a great computer, Mum!”he said happily.“The hardware (硬件) is good. There's so much memory (内存) and it has some wonderful software programmes. This game, Dragonsplayer, is my favourite, but I sometimes borrow games from Danny and other friends. I don't have to worry about any infected (被感染的) disks because I have a virus (病毒) detector (指示器) which can go over any disk and check it for viruses. Let me show you!”Sam began tapping keys on the keyboard. The screen changed in answer to his orders.

　　“Oh, Sam,”laughed Mrs. Blake.“I'm sure it's a wonderful computer, but I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about.”

     Ken I finish my homework，I often chat with my friends on the Internet．Sometimes I play Internet games．But my parents hate to see me playing games on the computer．Maybe they have heard of too much bad news about QQ and  Internet games．Once 1 went to a net bar to play games after sch001．But I  told my parents that I played basketball at school．I said so because I didn’t want to make them unhappy．I feel bad about lying．However，，I heed to rest for a while by playing computer games after studying for a long time．I really hope my parents understand me．Do foreign parents do the same to their children ? Please help me．

Dear Wang Lin,      I think it' s not strange for parents to want to keep their children away from anything bad. Foreign parents will do the same as your parents! They may not let their children watch TV for too long a time. they also don' t want their children to play computer games.      Talk to your parents and be honest to them, I think. Tell them what you are doing and why you are doing so to make them understand you. It' s never good to do things behind your parents' backs. They aren't fools as you think of them sometimes! Our parents seem to know what is the best for us. Remember: to be honest is the best way.
