Thomas Edison was a great American inventor He was in school  1  only three months．His teacher didn’t understand   2  this new pupil had so many strange questions．Most of the questions had nothing  3  with his lessons．The teacher didn’t want to teach Tom  4  ．He asked Tom’s mother  5  the boy home．Tom’s mother taught him to read and write and she found him to be a very good pupil．He learnt very fast and became very  6  in science．When he was only ten，he built a chemistry lab for  7 ．
