　　Today I am very excited because I did a lot of things with my classmates and teachers to protect our environment. ________________________________

I am from Siberia and I am now living in the US．My old friend，Valentina，came to visit me last week，and I decided to take her to visit the“Big Apple”．I stayed with Jonathan，the son of an American friend of mine．When Valentina and I were leaving for the“Big Apple”on the first morning，Jonathan asked us where we were going．I told him that we were going to see the“Big Apple”．

He asked me if I knew how to get there．He seemed surprised when I said that I didn’t know how to get there．

Then he asked me if I had a map and I said that I ________．He seemed shocked．

Then he invited us back to the house．He said he could draw us a map．Then we went into the living room．He carefully drew us a map and gave us very clear directions．

We explained to him that in Siberia we do not prepare for our trips like the Americans．Americans always take maps and make preparations before going out．We just ask people along the way until we arrive at the place．That’s what we were planning to do in New York：just ask people until we get to the“Big Apple”．However，that is clearly not the American Way．
