　　Now that the Spring Festival is over, I only have school to look forward to．It’s 　　1　　 funny, I find myself looking forward more and more to schml．

　　And the 　　11　　!People spend days buying．The result－too much and too rich which does nobody any good：chicken, duck, fish, meat and so on．What’s 　　12　　 they become 　　13　　 too．Too much of a good thing, as we say, and this visiting business too．It’s all right for a few really good friends to 　　14　　 together and chat over some tea or drinks．But mere acquaintance(熟人)and the usually not too neighbourly neighbours dropping 　　15　　 to say hello, but I find them a pain in the neck(讨厌的家伙)．Usually there is nothing to talk about 　　16　　 some meaningless words．

　　Oh yes, I did 　　17　　 myself skating on the nearby lake 　　18　　 a few times．The ice is not too good now and getting very 　　19　　．I stopped going before the Spring Festival．But there are people who are 　　20　　 too reckless(考虑后果的)or too ignorant or both, and we hear about people falling through thin ice every year．

　　An 18-year-old high school student who had just learned to swim in the last summer vacation saved the life of a drowning Ohio boy on Friday afternoon．

　　Tom Erickson was credited with(因…而受赞扬)saving the life of Jason Pryor, 10, in Mill Creek Park．Young Pryor, from Chillicothe, was visiting relatives from Anchor Point when he fell into Mill Creek．

　　The Pryor boy had no business playing near the edge of the river, but he was not aware of the danger．

　　The creek, with much more water than usual for the recent spring rains, flew fast and carried the boy around a bend and out of sight from his parents, who took Jason out there and said they had not even witnessed the incident．

　　Luckily for Jason, one of the most unselfish students from Brentwood's Central High School was taking a walk alone through the park．

　　As soon as he found the boy struggling in the water, Erickson jumped into the creek and managed to pull the drowning boy out of the water．And it was reported that Erickson had never received any life-saving instruction before．

　　“I wasn’t sure I could do it,”Erickson said．“I didn’t know if I could swim through the river by myself, not to mention getting another person out with me．”

　　This incident should be a lesson to young children who do not know how to swim．Stay away from dangerous bodies of water．
