¡¡¡¡I don't know what's your opinion about mountains.
¡¡¡¡It was only in the eighteenth century people in Europe began to that mountains were beautiful. that time, mountains were feared by the people on the plain, especially by the city people, they were wild and places one was easily or killed by terrible animals.
¡¡¡¡Slowly, however, people comfortably in the towns began to grow them. They began to feel looking for wild excitement, as their attention turned from the man-made town to the country; and to places dangerous and wild. So high mountains began to be for a holiday.
¡¡¡¡Then, mountain-climbing began to grow popular To some people, there is something about getting to the of a high mountain: a struggle against nature is finer than a battle other human beings. And after a difficult climb, what a reward it is to look down on everything within sight.

The measure of a man¡¯s character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.?
¡ªThomas Macaulay?
Some thirty years ago,I was studying in a public school in New York. One day,Mrs Nanette O¡¯Neil gave an arithmetic ?¡¡1¡¡? to our class. When the papers were2¡¡?she discovered that twelve boys had made the same mistakes throughout the test.
There is really nothing new about ?¡¡3¡¡? in the exams.Perhaps that was why Mrs O¡¯Neill ?¡¡4¡¡? even say a word about it.She only asked the twelve boys to
5¡¡? after class.I was one of the twelve.?
Mrs O¡¯Neill asked ?¡¡6¡¡? questions, and she didn¡¯t ?¡¡7¡¡? us either.Macaulay, she wrote on the blackboard the ?¡¡8¡¡? words by Thomas Macaulay. She then ordered us to ?¡¡9¡¡? these words into our exercise?books one hundred times.?
I don¡¯t ?¡¡10¡¡?about the other eleven boys.Speaking for myself I can say:it was the most important single ?¡¡11¡¡? of my life.Thirty years after being introduced to Macaulay¡¯s words, they ?¡¡12¡¡? seem to me the best yard?stick(×¼Éþ),because they give us a ?¡¡13¡¡? to measure ourselves rather than others.?
?¡¡14¡¡?of us are asked to make ?¡¡15¡¡? decisions about nations going to war or armies going to battle. But all of us are called ?¡¡16¡¡? daily to make a great many personal decisions. ?¡¡17¡¡? the wallet, found in the street,be put into a pocket or turned over to the policeman?Should the ?¡¡18¡¡? change received at the store be forgotten or ?¡¡19¡¡?.Nobody will know except ?¡¡20¡¡?.But you have to live with yourself, and it is always better to live with someone you respect.

The books in David¡¯s schoolbag felt like bricks as he ran down the street. What he wanted to do was to play basketball with Eric, ¡¡41¡¡ his mother told him he would have to return his sister¡¯s books to the library first.
He had ¡¡42¡¡ set foot in a library and he wasn¡¯t about to do so today. He would just ¡¡43¡¡¡¡¡¡ the books in the outside return box. But there was a ¡¡44¡¡ ; it was locked.
He went into the building, only a few minutes ¡¡45¡¡ closing time. He put the books into the return box. And after a brief ¡¡46¡¡ in the toilet, he would be on his way to the playground to¡¡ ¡¡47¡¡ Eric.
David stepped out of the toilet and stopped in ¡¡48¡¡ --the library lights were off. The place was ¡¡49¡¡ . The doors had been shut. They ¡¡50¡¡ be opened from the inside. He was trapped¡¡ -- in a library!
He tried to ¡¡51¡¡ a telephone call, but was unable to ¡¡52¡¡ . What¡¯s worse, the pay phones were on the outside of the building. ¡¡53¡¡ the sun began to set, he searched for a light and found it.
54¡¡ he could see. David wrote on a piece of paper: ¡° 55¡¡ ! I¡¯m TRAPPED inside!¡± and stuck it to the glass door. ¡¡56¡¡ , someone passing by would see it.
He was surprised to discover that this place was not so unpleasant ¡¡57¡¡ . Rows and rows of shelves held books, videos and music. He saw a book about Michael Jordan and took it off the shelf. He calmed down, settled into a chair and started to ¡¡58¡¡ .
He knew he had to ¡¡59¡¡ , but now, that didn¡¯t seem to be such a ¡¡60¡¡ thing.

She was acting very strangely and I was anxious to leave. As soon as she went to get tea, I went out of the house as fast as I 48 .
¡¡ Fortunately, there was another house down the road and I was able to buy the gas I needed. When I told the man about my ¡¡49 , he said, ¡°Oh, that¡¯s Miss Emily. She lives by herself in that big house. She¡¯s strange, but she wouldn¡¯t 50 anybody. She is still waiting for the man she was going to marry thirty years ago. The day before their wedding he left home and never came back because of the war.¡±
