     This is a true story that happened in Japan. In order to repair a house with a history of 10 years, someone
in Japan tore open the walls (Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls.)
     While painting the walls, he found that there was a lizard   1   there because a nail from outside had been
hammered into one of its feet. Seeing this, he felt pity and at the same time   2  . When he checked the nail,
he found it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built.

without moving! It was incredible. He wondered how this lizard had survived for 10 years without moving
