Long ago I came to the city near my hometown to find a job. I met all kinds of 16 and so I used up all my money soon.

One day, I got on a bus quietly at dusk when most people got off work. Suddenly, a 　17 cried loudly, “Someone has 　18 　my money!” I felt 　19 , because his money was in my 　20 . Some people suggested the bus be driven to the police station, but some were against it because they were in a hurry to go back home. The whole bus was very 21 . There was a terrible rainstorm unexpectedly. The rain caused the streets 36 and the subway system almost came to a stop.
Unfortunately, this happened during the morning rush hour. Many people who were going to work were 37 to go home. Some struggled to __38  a taxi or to get on a bus. Still others faced the ___39_ bravely, walking miles to get to work.
