As a green city, Singapore has become a famous tourist attraction in the world. Most of the land is covered by green plants. Everyone there realizes the importance of protecting the environment. I visited Singapore in 2007 on my way back from India. It was a wonderful vacation for me.
After we arrived there, we stayed in a hotel on Orchard Road. There were many shops and restaurants on that street. We didn’t do much on the first day because we reached there in the evening. The next day we took a taxi from our hotel to the Botanical Garden(植物园). It has over 3,000 plant species. On the third day we went to Santos Island. Some of the best places to visit over there were Underwater World, Dolphin Lagoon, the Merlin Area and Songs of the Sea. The last one was a musical fountain (音乐喷泉) show. The driver answered in quite loud voice, too. “Yes, sir!” But to the officer’s surprise, the driver shook his head at the same time.
