His name was Lee Junfan when he was born in San Francisco, California in 1940. A nurse suggested an American name “Bruce.” Bruce’s father was a movie actor. Bruce appeared in his first movie with his father when he was only two months old. Bruce and his parents returned to their home in Hong Kong in 1941. Bruce began to act in Chinese movies at the age of six.
In 1966, Bruce Lee acted in an American television. The program was not a success. But many Hollywood(好莱坞)movie actors began studying Kung Fu with him. He appeared in several other television programs. Bruce Lee returned to Hong Kong in 1971 to act in a Chinese movie known in the United States. The movie was very popular in Asia. He followed this with another film. It too was very popular.
In 1973, Bruce Lee made his most famous movie. It was the first movie between American and Chinese movie companies. But Bruce Lee died a few weeks before the movie was shown. He was 35 years old.

She began to earn more money. But success was not enough to make her happy. On August fourth, 1962, Marilyn Monroe died alone in her home. She was 36 years old.
