1. 作宾语

1) 有些动词要用动名词作宾语。如:admit, appreciate, avoid, consider, delay, enjoy, escape, fancy, finish, imagine, keep, mind, miss, practise, stand, suggest等。如:

Would you mind turning down your radio a little?

He admitted having cheated in this exam.

You must practise speaking English more.

2) 以下动词词组需要接动名词作宾语:can’t help, feel like, have trouble l difficulty (in), give up, insist on, keep on, put off, set about, think of等。如:

Finally he gave up smoking.

He insisted on reading English aloud every day.

3) 需要注意有些动词或词组后跟的to是介词,如:be l get used to, devote oneself to, go back to, lead to, look forward to, prefer ... to, stick to等。如:

I’m used to living in the south.

He has devoted himself to benefiting mankind.

I’m looking forward to receiving her letters.

4. 根据图片或图表大意议论,揣度命题意图,知道命题人提倡什么,反对什么,颂扬什么,讽刺什么。

　　 此外,在写此类作文时还要注意:

　　 (1)作文动笔之前一般都要先打腹稿。在确立中心上、运用材料上、篇章结构上充分酝酿。

　　 (2)考虑好写多少句子,该用哪些动词和词组等。

　　 (3)边写边考虑内容的连贯性,语言和句子的准确性等。

　　 (4)写完后一定要再细看一遍。

　　 Last Sunday, our class organized some volunteer activities, in which all of us took an active part. We were divided into four groups. Group One went to the People’s Park, where they planted trees, watered flowers and cleaned the grassland to make it more beautiful. 　　 According to a recent report, roads, logging, energy development and other industrial activities have already chopped down almost one-third of Canada’s forests.

　　 In the report, it is found that most of the undisturbed forests left in Canada are in the northern parts of the country. Nearly two-thirds of the forests are in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and the Northwest Territories. It’s the first time a uniform look has been taken at how many untouched forests are left and where they are located.

　　 "There’ve been many regional studies, but nothing has been done nationwide,"said Peter Lee, the director of Forest Watch. "The government and industry do not ask those kinds of questions. They don’t want to know the answer."
