　 I had just gone to bed after a very hard day when the phone rang．It was a strange farmer．I had never met him before although I had often heard people talk about him．He sounded quite nervous and he had been talking for a minute or so before I understood anything．Even then all I could make out was that someone called Milly had had a very bad accident．I really didn’t know who she was but I had to go．

　 On 26th January, the biggest earthquake in India took the lives of 25,000 people．In the morning, when everyone was enjoying holidays, earthquake happened．It was about 7.5 on the Richter scale.“There is nothing left between the sky and the earth any more．Everyone fell down.” said one of the villagers alive．“There is no water, no food and no one came to rescue．”

Nobody died in Pakistan，a country next to India．The city of Lahore was lucky．In Lahore American school、all of the students were sate．They were on the field, so most children didn’t feel anything．The teachers in the second floor felt the earthquake.
