­­­­­­­­­　 　　81　 Every normal person is expert in the skill of pronouncing his own language,but few people are skilled at pronouncing foreign languages.Now there are many reasons for this.　 82　 But I think the reason is that many people fail to grasp the true nature of the problem of learning to pronounce.They never set about solving it in the right way.Far too many people fail to realize that pronouncing a foreign language is a skill--　 83　 We shouldn’t leave it to take care of itself.I think even teachers of language usually ignore the branch of study which has something to do with speaking the language,even though they recognize the importance of a good accent.　 84　 The teacher should be prepard to devote some of the lesson time to this,and through his attitude,students can feel that there is a matter worth receiving close attention.So,there should be something else when other aspects of English,such as grammar or spelling,are allowed for the moment to take second place.

Except for this question of the time given to pronunciation,there are two other requirements for the teacher: 　85
