I have to say that you are not alone when having trouble communicating with your parents. Almost everybody meet with it when they were in their youth. In other words, it’s a common problem shared by many, whose cause may lie in what we call “the generation gap”.

As for my advice, first, don’t hide your feelings. You can make it a routine to share your thoughts with your parents. Second, you should convince them you have tried your best. It is quite natural for parents to expect much from their children. However, I believe they will be satisfied with you as long as they know you have tried hard to live up to their expectations.
