In junior high school in America, kids study English, writing, math, physics, biology, music and art.
At 12 o’clock, the students eat lunch at school. They have meat, vegetables, fruit, bread and a drink, but they like hot dogs and hamburgers best. American kids like sugar, and after the meal they can have a small piece of cake.

Moreno, Stanley, and 23 other students from Westfield State College were on vacation in Acapulco, Mexico. This was the last night in the hotel. It was 4 am, Moreno and Stanley came back from a party.

On the fourth floor they found Moreno feeling terrible (Moreno had made it up to the eighth floor before turning back). But after making sure he could get back down on his own, they continued upstairs, knocking on the doors on every floor.
In the end, no one was seriously hurt. Moreno said, "There were hundreds of people in the hotel. It was our duty to help them."

Today Newtown is a clean place, but many years ago there were millions of rats there. The rats even attacked (攻击 ) the cats and dogs. Sometimes many of them tried to bite men or women at night. The rats were very large in size and they harmed (伤害 ) many people.
The city office ordered every one to kill rats. However, most people were lazy, so they did not kill many rats.
