Pocket money is the money given for little expenses(开销)．This amount of money can be given by parents everyday, every week or every month．I get 20 dollars a month from my parents．
Mum's birthday was coming．I wanted to buy her a beautiful dress that would cost 115 dollars, but I only had 60 dollars．I decided to do small jobs to earn some money so that I could buys．I went outside to the garage(汽车库)and asked Dad if I could wash his car．“Dad, may I wash the car? I need some money．”
“Certainly, my child．I'll pay you 10 dollars．”
After I cleaned the car, I got 10 dollars．Next I went to the neighbour, Mrs．White．Her dog, Henry, needed a bath．
After I bathed Henry, she gave me 35 dollars．I was tired, wet and cold, but I still needed to work for money．I decided to go to Dad again．“Dad, can I clean the garden? ”
“Yes, I will pay you 10 dollars for that．”
So, after I cleaned the garden I had 115 dollars．The next day, I bought the dress for Mum．She said it was the best birthday present ever!
