　　Among all of the animals, elephants are the biggest in the world．They are big and strong．Their eyes are very small and bright．Their teeth are large and white．People often call them tusks(象牙)There are no bones in the back of elephants’feet．

　　Elephants can eat 100 to 1, 000 pounds of grass in a day．They can live 60～70 years．They can walk on tiptoe(脚尖)in the mud easily．Elephants are big, but they can move quietly．

　　Elephants are friendly to each other, and they never attack(攻击)people．If people train(训练)them, they can help farmers do the work．

　　Elephants are in danger now! Hunters(猎人)want their tusks, so they kill them．If people sell elephants’ tusks, they can make a lot of money．If we don’t help them, they will all die soon．
