One of the easiest ways to keep healthy is to do jogging:“Jogging is the name for a very gentle(平和的)running-it is just a little faster than walking.”

Start slow jog 20 meters, then walk 20 meters.Little by little, if you are not feeling very tired, you may do more jogging and less walking. Finally, jog the whole day.It will be easy for you to start jogging for 15 minutes twice a week, slowly, increase this to 20-30 minutes every day.The longer you join in jogging, the more you enjoy it and the healthier you will become. Some people like jogging alone, and others enjoy doing it with friends.Jogging in groups makes people keener(更热心), because you can just not stay in bed while there is a group of friends waiting outside.

“If you want to see a thing well, reach out and touch it!”

That may seem a strange thing to say. But touching things can help you to see them better. Your eyes can tell you that a glass ball is round. But by holding it in your hands, you can feel how smooth and cool the ball is. You can feel how heavy the glass is. When you feel all these about the ball, you really see it.

With your skin, you can feel better. For example, your fingers can tell the difference between two coins in your pocket. You can feel a little drop of water on the back of your hand, too. You can even feel sounds against your skin. Have you ever wanted to know why some. people like very loud music? They must like to feel the sounds of music.

All children soon learn what “Don't touch!” means. They hear it often. Yet most of us keep on touching things as we grow up. In shops, we touch things we might buy: food, clothes. To see something well, we have to touch it.

The bottoms of our feet can feel things, too. You know this when you walk on warm sand, cool grass or a hard floor. All feel different under your feet.

There are ways of learning to see well by feeling. One way is to close your eyes and try to feel everything that is touching your skin. Feel the shoes on your feet, the clothes on your body, the air on our skin. At first, it is not easy to feel these things. You are too used to them!

Most museums are just for looking. But today some museums have some things for visitors to touch. Their signs say, “Do touch!” There you can feel everything on show.

If you want to see better, reach out and touch. Then you will really see!

It's important to learn about protecting our environment. Here is a 5R rule for us:

  1. Reduce

If you want to reduce waste, you should use things wisely(胆智地). A large number of trees are being cut down to make paper. If everyone uses a little paper carelessly and throws it out, soon we would not have any trees left. Other things are also being wasted, and people don't know what to do with the waste in big cities. So it is necessary to reduce the waste.

  2. Reuse

You should always think of reusing the usable things before throwing them out. Give your clothes you do not use or the ones which are too small to the poor. In a family, you may pass on such clothes to younger brothers or sisters.

  3. Recycle

Bottles, cans(罐子)and paper can easily be recycled. By doing so we save lots of time and money. For example, coke cans are sent to a factory, where they are smashed flat(压平)and melted(熔化)and the metal things are made for new coke cans.

  4. Recover

When you buy a box of apples, there may be a few rotten(腐烂的)apples, you have two choices: one is to throw the whole apples away, or you could cut off the rotten parts and use the good parts. In this way, you are recovering the eatable parts of food.

  5. Repair

If one of the legs of your table is broken, you can repair it. If you want to change for better ones, it is better for you to sell the old things or give them to other people who can use them after doing something. It is true that North America is a throw-away society, but the time has come to change our way of life so hat we can protect our environment. Every one of us should try our best.
