题目列表(包括答案和解析)
“ I’d like to be at a healthier weight , ” a friend told me . “ But we just don’t have the money to buy expensive diet foods and there isn’t enough money to join a gym .” Many people feel that way—that a healthy diet and exercise plan is out of reach because of their high cost . Don’t lose hope ! We’ll be looking at ways to make healthy choices without spending too much money .
First you don’t need to buy the expensive pre-prepared “ diet foods . ” Back in the early 1970s when I started housekeeping , 90% of the food I bought was ingredients . Very few things were preprocessed(预处理的). Now 90% of the food you find in the store is quick food . That’s a bad thing .
Quick foods like boxed “ just add hamburger ” meals have had the fiber removed to make them faster to prepare . Take a look at the label on that box . It often has low numbers listed under “ fiber ” because fiber takes longer to digest . If the low fiber meal is digested , the result is that your body begins to store fat . Besides , your body is short of nutrients(营养物质). You will be driven to eat more to try to make up for the low quality of the food you are eating .
And then there are the chemicals the producers add to the quick meals to make them palatable . If not , the stuff would taste like cardboard and you wouldn’t enjoy it . However , these chemicals certainly aren’t good for your health .
What’s the answer ? Buy whole ingredients and give up the expensive , low nutrition , processed foods . Do the cooking yourself and you will have control over what is in your food —and it will cost less , too .

Space tourism might be the dream of many people on the planet, but a journey to space is not is not as easy as simply buying some tickets at a travel search engine;it is only reserved for the privileged few that can afford the cost.. One of the options that impressed me most is the one offered by a company called Space Adventures.
What they have in place is a space tourism program that slows you to travel with the Soyuz to the International Space Station (ISS).The trip starts a few months in advance with intensive training dealing mainly with gravity operations, fight control and survival activities.
When all tins training is over, your space trip begins. The trip can be planned exactly according to your needs, whether you’re going for scientific research , or simply for an adventure. I doubt whether you will find any other kind of trip that has such a thorough preparation period beforehand.
One of the great things to do, even if it makes your space trip a bit more expensive, is that you could go on a space walk during your trip. That would definitely be a good opportunity to dance outside with your loved one to a slow waltz…Sorry, I forget there’s no sound in space!
Whatever option you choose, the only obstacle you might face is the cost. All the other requirements seem to be less than those for getting a visa to a foreign country. Generally your height should be between 160 and 185 cm, your weight between 50and 95 kg and be in good health.
Finally ,in answer to the question you’ve been wondering about .Granted, space tourism is expensive, but exactly how expensive would a normal scheduled flight to the ISS cost? Would you believe it costs between $30 and $40 million? A Russian language course is included!

Anger is good for you, as long as you control it properly, according to a new psychology research. The new study from
Lerner studied 92 UCLA students by asking them to count back from 6,200. They must say out loud every 13th number. Researchers interfered with(扰乱,妨碍)them by asking them to count faster or asking them other questions. If they made any mistake, they had to restart from the very beginning. Many students felt depressed about making so many mistakes or got angry because the researchers were interrupting them. Lerner used a hidden video camera and recorded all their facial expressions during the test. The researchers described their reactions as fear, anger and disgust. Other researchers recorded the students’ blood pressure and production of high-stress hormone. (荷尔蒙)
People whose faces showed more fear during the experiment had higher blood pressure and higher levels of the hormone. Both can have lasting effects such as diabetes(糖尿病), heart disease, depression and weight gain. When people feel fear, negative effects increase, but when they get angry, those negatives go down, according to the study. Having that sense of anger leads people to actually feel some power in what otherwise is a maddening situation, Lerner said.
So in maddening situations, anger is not a bad thing to have. It’s a healthier response than fear.
