Once upon a time, there was a large mountainside, where an eagle's(鹰)nest rested. The eagle's nest had four big eagle eggs. One day an earthquake rocked the mountain causing one of the eggs to roll down the mountain to a chicken farm. The farm was at the foot of the mountain. The chickens knew that they must protect and care for the eagle's egg, so an old hen volunteered to raise the large egg.

One day, the egg hatched(孵化)and a beautiful eagle was born.Sadly, however, the little eagle was raised to be a chicken.Soon, the little eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. The little eagle loved his home and family, but his spirit cried out for more. While playing a game on the farm one day, the little eagle looked up to the sky above and noticed a group of adult eagles flying in the sky.“Oh,” the little eagle cried, “I wish I could fly like those big birds.” The chickens laughed at him, “You can not fly with those birds. You are a chicken and chickens do not fly.”

The eagle continued watching his real family up above, dreaming that he could be with them. Each time the eagle told his friends his dream, he was told it couldn't be done. That is what the eagle learned to believe. The eagle, after time, stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken. Finally, after a long life as a chicken, the eagle died.

We all dream about things that we would like to do and things we hope to achieve in the future. But are everybody’s dreams the same? Here are some of the findings of a survey about dreams, in which thousands of students across China took part.

Teenagers have all kinds of dreams. Some are more realistic than others. For example, many students said they would like to be volunteers for the Asian Games, maybe working as translators or tour guides. And quite a few said they dream of going to the moon one day.

According to the survey, less realistic dreams are also common, but many students reported that they were willing to work hard to achieve their dreams. Quite a few dream of becoming famous, perhaps famous sportspeople or singers. Some said they’d love to go on exciting trips; one student said she’d love to sail across the Pacific Ocean. And then there are dreams that are impossible; three students said they’d like to be able to fly.

1.Thousands of students ________ part in the survey “What are your_________?”

2.The dream to be _________ to fly one day is not _________.

3._________ of the girl’s dreams is to sail across the Pacific Ocean in the _________.

4.________ are quite a few students dreaming to be _________ people.

5.It is _________ to achieve the dreams without working _________.
