In almost every big country in the USA, football is a favorite sport .
American football is not like soccer. Plers sometimes kick the ball, but they kick and run with it. They try to take the ball to the end of the field. The weather was fine last night. My friend named Steve and I decided to sleep in the open air. I found the sleeping bags under the bed in my room. I also packed some snacks. We could hardly wait for it to get dark. We opened our sleeping bags and put them on the grass in front of my house. Steve and I played some games, talked about something interesting and had a snack. In the end it got dark. We were just falling asleep when we heard something unusual.

“Maybe it is just a small animal,” I said. Steve said nothing, but I could feel he was frightened. After I looked around, I was sure it wasn’t an animal. It was my little brother, Tommy.

A Nobel Prize(诺贝尔奖) is considered by most people one of the highest international honors a person can receive. As you know, the prizes were started by a Swede(瑞典人) called Alfred Nobel. He was born in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Alfred Nobel was a great scientist. He made two important inventions, and so he became very rich. Although he was rich, Nobel was not a happy man. He never married or had children. Also, he was a sick man during his large part of life. When he died at the age of 63, he left a fund(资金) of $9,000,000. It is also sometimes true that a prize is not given at all if there is no great achievement. In 1972, for example, no Nobel Peace Prize was given.
