Evelyn Glennie was the first lady of solo percussion in Scotland. In an interview, she talked about how she became a percussion soloist（打击乐器独奏演员）in spite of deafness.

When I was young, I always helped my grandfather in the fields. As I worked beside him, he   １  to tell a story about a man named Joe, and his wife, who moved to a new farm with their three sons.
