　　The greatest saleswoman in the world today doesn't mind if you call her a girl．That's because Markita Andrews made more than ＄80,000 by selling cookies(饼干)when she was 13 years old．

　　Andrews and her mother shared a dream of traveling around the world．Once, while reading a magazine, Andrews found that the person who sold the most cookies would win a free trip for two around the world．She decided to give it a try．

　　To make her dream come true, Andrews went door to door every day after school and repeated, “Hi, I have a dream．I'm earning(赚取)a trip around the world for my mom and me by selling cookies．” Then she asked, “Would you like to buy one or two dozen boxes of cookies?”

　　Andrews kept asking for a whole year, no matter how heavily it was raining or snowing outside．Her hard work paid off．She sold 42,000 boxes of cookies that year and she won her trip around the world．

　　Andrews is no smarter than thousands of other people．The key to her success is that she has found the secret of selling：Ask, Ask, Ask! Many people fail before they even begin because they fail to ask for what they want．

　　It takes courage(勇气)to ask for what you want．And, as Andrews has discovered, the more you ask, the easier(and more fun)it gets．

　　Now, charms can be found everywhere at Dakota Hills Middle School in Eagan．“Students put charms on purses, backpacks , and their lunchboxes, ”said Emma．Emma and Hannah also have a shop on the Internet．They hope they can sell their charms to more kids．They’re thinking about selling their charms at the Eagan Market Festival next summer．

　　Their business is not only for getting money．At their Valentine’s sale, 20％of the income(收入)went to charity．

　　If one of the legs of your table is broken, you can repair it instead of throwing it away．If you want to change for better ones, It is better for you to sell the old things or give them to other people who can use them after doing some repair．It is true that North America is a “throw-away” society(社会)．But the time has come to change our way of life so that we can protect our environment．Every one of us should try our best．
