    I am a little girl．Before the summer vacation of 2008，I went to my mother's hometown，Wenchuan in Sichuan Province，which is a quite beautiful。place in China． After I got there, first I stayed at my  uncle's home．I was very happy in my uncle's home because my uncle has a daughter who is older than me．Every time I visit my uncle，my cousin often takes me to visit some places on the mountains behind their village．There were many lovely animals on the mountains. We spent nine days happily. I re member just on the tenth day there was a big earthquake．It happened at about half past two in the afternoon on May 12，when I was dreaming．I woke up to find myself under a lot of rocks．I couldn't move．I didn't，in fact，know anything about what was happening until my uncle saved me from the ruins（废墟）。

    During the earthquake most of the houses fell down．We had no place to live during the first  Two days，and little food，but later we received a lot of tents（帐篷）and food from every city in our country．  They helped us to be stronger and to forget those terrible days．I think if we hadn't lived in New China，we couldn't have gotten over the great difficulties．All Chinese people are just in a family that is warm and full of love．I am very lucky and so is my uncle's family．
