    分析：根据“车头上桥到车尾离开120秒，火车完全在桥上80秒，”知道120秒行驶的路程是1000米+火车车身，80秒行驶的路程是1000米-火车车身，所以火车行1000米所用的时间是（80+120）÷2，由此求出火车的长度，再根据“一列火车从上桥到车尾离开共用120秒”是指火车走了桥长和火车的车身长用了120秒，由此即可求出火车的长度．
    解答：解：火车行驶桥长1000米需要的时间为：
    （80+120）÷2，
    =200÷2，
    =100（秒）．
    所以火车速度为：1000÷100=10（米）．
    火车长度为：120×10-1000，
    =1200-1000，
    =200（米）；
    答：火车的长度是200米；火车的速度是10米/秒．
    点评：关键是根据题意，找出120秒与80秒之间的关系，再根据路程，速度与时间的关系列式解答即可．
