四、阅读理解。

Tom and his mother are sitting at the table. They are having their lunch. “I don't like the soup,I don't want to eat it”’ says Tom and he puts down his spoon. “All right. Don’t eat it then ,” his mother says.

(一) American people like to say “Thank you. ” when other people help them or say something kind to them. People of many other countries do so,too. It is a very good habit. You should say “Thank you” when someone passes you something on the table,when someone opens the door for you and when someone says you do your work well,or you have a nice thing,or your city is very beautiful. “Thank you” is used not only between friends,but also between parents and children,brothers and sisters,husbands and wives.
