The Summer Palace lies 20 kilometres northwest of the centre of Beijing.The whole Summer Palace
covers an area of over 290 hectares (公顷) including more than 3,000 buildings.  Summer Palace used

     Main parts of the Summer Palace
     The Summer Palace is mainly made up of Kunming I.ake. Longevity Hill and the Long Corridor
(走廊).

     In 1608 an Englishman named Thomas Coryate visited Italy. He liked the country and wrote down
every interesting thing he found. But there was one thing which he found the most interesting. In his diary
